BackgroundLimina, an amnesiac, awoke on an inn room bed in Ishgard aged approximately 70 or 80 summers, clad in the robes of a scholar, and unable to read the book uncomfortably strapped to her hip. Seeking a healer, the Viera instead found herself at the Athenaeum Astrologicum, where she was mistaken for a prospective student by the overeager Jannequinard de Durendaire and began training in astromancy.Finding herself an outsider in a closed city at a time of ongoing civil hostility and war, she became accustomed to hiding her ears, navigating the Brume to avoid scrutiny, and taking on all manner of under-the-table work to make ends meet. Her status in the city was significantly legitimized after completing her studies and subsequently serving as both astrologian and chirurgeon to the Temple Knights until the end of the Dragonsong War, when she was finally able to leave the Holy See without fear of being unable to return.Her heart has ever yearned for adventure, and she has followed her horoscopes and divinations throughout Eorzea and beyond, believing fully that the deck of sixty and the stars in the sky will never lead her astray.

Your character may have heard about a jack-of-all-trades who will take on peculiar work. For the more devious, Limina used to dabble in questionable and discreet services such as espionage, theft, and fraud, and might consider doing so again if the coin was right.- In the Cards
Did your character want a glimpse into potential fates and futures? Are they looking for advice in love, politics, or business? Limina is happy to oblige. Try to catch her in a good mood, give her something really juicy to work with, or butter her up with a drink or two first.
